Lifelong Steeler Fan Kevin Cousino does an interview with The Steelers Blog. Kevin has been a fan since the age of 5 years old. Check out his interview below! GO STEELERS!
Have you been a Steelers Fan your entire life, how did you get hooked?
I was 5, my neighbor was from the Burgh/ roped me in early. I will turn 41 this Sept. so for the past 36 years: Black & Gold till they put me in the hole!
What is your best/favorite memory of The Pittsburgh Steelers?
3 years ago- I sat in Heinz Field on December 7th 2008- -7 below wind chill/ Pittsburgh vs CryGirls/ Down 13-3: Pittsburgh came back and won 20- 13 w, a Deshea Townsend pic/ ohh and yeah Renegade played twice, perfect timing! Deshea for 6, and the next thing was Hip Hop Hooray in the stadium and my Crygirl buddys grin was gone! Priceless!
Who is your favorite player both past and present?
Jack Lambert & Jack Ham/ the reason I had a Tattoo created of the 2! Period.
When you think of Steelers Football, what is the first thing that comes to mind?
DEFENSE!
Obviously, you have to LOVE the Steelers to do an interview with TheSteelersBlog.com – explain your passion?
Like I said earlier, if it wasn’t for my neighbor when I was little, who knows. I can remember walking down to his basement with so much Steeler memorabilia from the past in that room- hence the reason I created the Steeler Cave/ in memory of what he instilled in me.
Who is the greatest Steeler of All-Time and why?
Not an easy answer, there are so many- we have 20 in the HOF/ either a owner, coach or a player, that to me is what makes Steelers so special. and soon to be 21 w/ the BUS!
What do the Steelers need to do differently in 2011 to win their 7th Super Bowl?
Secondary has got to get fixed, and we need to get back to the run, that will open up our Star WR’s!
Do you have a certain routine on gamedays for the Steelers?
My wife thinks I’m a nut, depending on the time of the game, I will try and keep myself occupied- just before gametime, I grab my very old and practically see through Terrible Towel, have a cold Yuengling on tap, depending if we are home, away or throwback is the jersey for the game! Good spread of munchies, consisting of Funyons, Smoked almonds, pretzels w/ jalapeno mustard- etc.
How many Steelers games have you been to in your life?
Too many too remember, whether @ home or away- I would say high teens!
What NFL team do you dis-like the most and why?
Patriots, cant stand Kraft, and that smug look of their coach Belidick! (Belichik)?????
What is your proudest piece of Steelers Gear or Memorabillia?
In the Cave, I have many, but the one that means the most to me is the Tattoo on my arm, along w the 8×10 BW pic of it autographed by Lambert & Ham!
If you could go to lunch with any Steeler, who would it be and why?
You don’t make this easy, do you- Dick LeBeau/ I had the privilege to go to Canton and watch him get inducted that day, even though he went in as a LION, to hear that man speak, and to see our whole team there, very special day. I’d like to understand how he does it day in and day out!
Thanks for this opportunity, its a real honor!
